A letter from Shinu
Dear Cheeku ❤️
I didn't make this to rush us back to how things were.
And I don't want pretty words to hide what happened.
I made it because there are things I owe you an honest apology for.
We fought a lot, and too often I cared more about defending myself than understanding you.
I let small things become painful ones.
I know that some of my words and actions hurt you.
I made you feel unheard when I should have listened.
I made you feel alone when I should have treated your feelings with care.
You did not deserve that from me.
I'm sorry, Cheeku.
Not the kind of sorry that asks you to forget everything.
Not a sorry wrapped in big promises.
Just an honest acknowledgement that I was wrong, and that the hurt I caused was real.
I can't erase it with a website or a beautiful sentence.
And I won't ask you to trust me immediately.
We've only just started talking again, and I want to respect how fragile that may feel.
You can take all the time and space you need.
I am grateful that you're speaking to me at all.
I want to listen without turning every conversation into another fight.
I want to understand what hurt you, even when it is uncomfortable for me to hear.
Anything better between us has to come from patience and consistent actions—not dramatic words.
This little place isn't a demand for an answer.
It is only my way of saying that I see my mistakes.
I'm sorry for the pain I caused you.
No pressure.
No grand promises.
Just a sincere apology.
With care,
— Shinu
